Playing board games...

Family include pets, this is our cat Marble. She love her sheepskin and is very happy when we bring them out when the weather turns cold. Trying to get a picture of her looking at you, is an ongoing challenge. On the fifth day of December the advent calendar said: Play a board game.  We enjoy game night and it is a great way to see personalities and competitive spirits come out to play. It is a lot of fun on cold days too. We played Splendour, our youngest son is very good at this one and he won again.
As kids we would play Monopoly and compendium of games for hours. We did not mind receiving games at Christmas time, as we would play them until the corners of boards became dog eared and the counters cracked. Being one of seven kids, we always had someone willing to play. Mom would cook a pot of vegetable soup and bake bread in the AGA  stove. We would all be in the kitchen where it was warm and toasty. Enjoying the simple things in life. We were happy and being together under one roof was the best.
The Nutcracker had to be moved higher up on the tree. Kitty decided to bite them, have no idea why. She loves the decorations on the tree and plays with them, when we go to bed. Wonder what adventures she is having when we are in dreamland?
Made a few ManiPedi pouches. Just love this fabric with Beatrix Potter.
They all have zipper pockets and elastic pouches to keep the nail varnish in place.
The inside pockets has the same fabric on the inside, so when one open the zipper pocket one gets a surprise.
Decided to use hoop and loop tale on these, instead of the metal snaps. Opus One, another of Diana's stitched pieces.

  1. you have been very busy! your tree looks pretty - I remember years ago when we had a cat I would usually get up in the morning to find the cat asleep under the tree and if she bothered it I never noticed
