We decided to make our own activities for the advent calendar this year. The 1st of December said: Decorate the Tree. It happened later in the day, as we had snow and a large part of the day was spent shovelling snow...
The tree has always been decorated spontaneously and due to allergies it is not a real tree. The green pickle is the last decoration which is placed on the tree, which hubby gets to put on the tree. It just works out the best way for our family due to the fact that he works long hours with lots of stress. We all participate and everyone is included in ways which accomodate everyone, without adding extra pressure on the person. It should be a fun and relaxed time of the year.

The countdown started for us, just the excitement and cheer which is in the air, lifting our spirits knowing Christmas is coming, our favourite holiday of the year.
I guess I need to get busy and decorate but just haven't quite been in the mood - I normally do not decorate early and wait until the 5th or so - we will most likely start around the weekend - all of your Christmas things look very festive
