Make a wish for a better world....

We had the most wonderful sunset recently. The sky was just filled with this warm colours and clouds like soft marshmallows. It stopped most of us in our tracks and made us pause, take a moment and enjoy this gift we received. It was free for everyone to enjoy and it came unexpectedly,  after a cloudy day.  We live in a world where over the years more items and packaging is now waste and single item use, so it ends up in landfills and our oceans. So on the tenth day of December the advent calendar said: Make a wish for a better world.  My wish is a simple one:  Bring back glass milk bottles.  Just think of how much waste we can remove from our world with just that simple step. Glass like beer bottles can be returned and reused over and over again, much better than plastic and cardboard.
Started a gift for a friend. This is a fun thing to do. No pattern, will work it out as I go along, so along the way will be learning a few new things. Learning is a life long ride, which helps us to grow.
Found this piece while I was doing the secret Santa duties recently, this will be used to finish a stitching piece. The farmhouse with the weathervane on top.
Take a moment today and just put your feet up and relax. It has been a year which has been full of the most amazingly low and highs for all of us, making us all just a bit more tensed up than normal. Looking forward to a happier place for everyone in the near future.
