These tulips are pink on the outside before they open. Spent part of the day outside in the morning, then the freezing cold arrived and we had to come inside. Hubby and our youngest son started to build the new flower boxes for the sweet peas. They are growing slowly.
The strips for the nine patch blocks in red was sewn together and pressed.
The strips were sub cut into one inch strips. Have used all the white strips of fabric which I got years ago and now will need to buy some more before making the next colour in June. Will carry on sewing the red nine patch blocks in red today.
I think there are a lot of places that got cold yesterday - here it chilled down to and woke up to 50 degrees and not much into the 60's today
ReplyDeleteWe're having cooler weather too, every night before heading of to bed, I need to go outside and cover up the flowers I planted in the flowerbeds! Hopefully we'll soon get out of this nighttime frost stage. Your tulips are very pretty, happy stitching!
