The Tortoise and the Hare year...

Today is the start of a new year. This quilt above is a block a day for a year. The 365 Quilt Challenge by Katherine Kerr in Australia.  It looks intimidating until one breaks it down to the foundations of the quilt. Either a three or six inch block a day.  When one concentrate on just one block, any quilter can make this quilt. At the end every quilter who make this pattern will be a master of sewing a 45 degree corner. This quilt has many of these seams.
The badger is coming along.
Had one mini finish.  The leftover binding was just enough from he tray cloth, with a half an inch to spare, talk about cutting it fine to the wire.
Will be working on this scrappy blocks this year. With other projects which has been started in the past.  BOM' s  is also waiting to be started, so will slowly but surely easy those in for fresh starts.  Think tortoise not hare here, the speed at which my projects will be going this year.
Two hexie quilt projects will be featured this year, jumping in and just doing it!

  2. You are so organized. I do things much more spontaneously. However, last year I did get some UFOs finished, so I hope to continue that.
