The impact on the post because of the virus...

This book arrived yesterday afternoon,  it has been on an adventure of its own. It is a gift for my birthday last year.  The notification kept on saying it was in transit in many places,  just the day before it said in a holding facility in Vancouver? From sea to sea, we are on the opposite side closer to the east coast. This one came and the modern postal system is proving that it still works, we are grateful for it.  Have a basket of threads which looks perfect to play with, the book is a delight and Elisabetta's writing is also so much more. She is a storyteller, making it not just a book on embroidery and stitching.
Pulled out LE to work on the chevron borders,  they get sewn on to a wash away stabilizer  and applique on to the background.  Once one wash the piece it becomes soft and the stabilizer dissolves. This method is something I invented to get the applique and piecing accurate for the first round which was done many years ago.
The back of the star blocks.
After looking at the star blocks, realised that only one of the star points was meeting in the middle of the stars.Unpicked them and stitched them again, it was looking so much better.
