Baking bread.

The weather has turned cold again and the snow flakes are flying again after a very mild snap for a couple of days. Has been in the kitchen and whipped up the dough for the bread first thing this morning, it is rising at the moment.
Will continue to hand quilt the quilt in the hoop. Did the flying geese and around all the blocks, the borders last year. Quilting the blocks in the ditch is what is being worked on at the moment, there is a lot still to do. The cat has a plan, she stares at the fireplace it is code for she is cold and can we please turn it on. She then lies down in front of said fireplace to get as toasty as she can before crawling away to cool down, before she repeats this process all over again. How much quilting will happen is anyone's guess, as kitty will also want to come and cuddle on my lap...

  4. Smart cat! We also had snow this morning. Stitching under a quilt is a smart thing to do on a winter day, happy stitching!

  5. I've always thought cats have the best life. It seems they are always thinking about the warmest place to snooze the day away. Your quilt in the hoop is beautiful and I must say the thought of freshly baked bread on a cold Sunday sounds perfect. I won't say no to a slice. =)

  6. we will have two cold nights and then back to normal - I will need to cover the berry plants up tomorrow before evening so they don't get damaged - I told them to slow down but they wouldn't listen to me - the weather the last month really had them fooled. Love that quilt you are working on
