Featherweight sewing machines...

Yesterday a fair amount of time was spent checking it out and discovered with the help of YouTube videos what was going on in the machine. It will require some serious cleaning an for that it require A trip to the hardware store. Using kerosene which will need to be done outdoors, so this will have to wait for fair weather outdoors.
The featherweight back in the case.
Worked some more on the workbox, will carry on with it, this is the embroidery on the spool holder. It is ten years since the book was first published and Inspirations magazine in Australia has now got new kits and the add on part which is being released on this anniversary.
Will be applique this part down today. The time just got away from me this week. Next week's charm row is making an early appearance. It has a number of greens in it.

  1. good luck on your featherweight - I really got hold a lemon as far as they go - nothing but trouble with it since I got it about 15 years ago. I took it in several times and they say they fixed it only to have the same problems occur (tension)- the last time Mike said if I ordered a new tension package he would install it and get it working - well it needs to be taken in for sure now so someone can fix all that he "fixed" as now it is not working at all. He would not listen when I pointed out the manual on how to do that - you don't just take one off and put the next on - it has to be done in a certain order and it is totally screwed up now. I don't know if I even feel like getting it fixed - it will stay on the shelf for now

  2. What a sweet little cross stitch you are working on. I hope you get your featherweight cleaned and running soon. Happy quilting and stitching.
