The mystery continues…
We know it is cold outside, we can not stay indoors all the time. So we venture outside and walk.
It snows, the wind makes it worse, so we wait for pockets of sunshine and bundle up. The air is crisp and cold.
Indoors we relax, after chores has been done. Hand quilting in the hoop on my lap in the evening. This quilt is in the hoop, currently quilting in the ditch on the borders. It keeps me warm, while working on the quilting.
Everyday a half an hour of sewing, ironing or cutting has been happening. The Bonnie Hunter mystery blocks are growing.
It may take time to sew all the pieces together, but slow and steady it is all coming together.
On monday while zooming with Kate, she was sorting her scraps into containers and knitting. I was ironing these traingle squares, sorting them into print and colour groups. Groundhog day with these, they were ironed and the box is too small. They got crammed into the box to close the lid and it wrinkled quite a lot of them. They all need dog ears trimmed off them. This is the RSC23, 24, 25 project I have been working on. Have decided to work on existing projects this year, before starting new projects.
Made a peppermint crisp tart this week, was going to do it over the festive season and it did not happen then.
Read this book more than ten years a go, a friend is doing a hole program on quilts and history. This one is a good one and well worth the time to read it.

Good job on the HST box. Maybe it's time to start sewing them together.
ReplyDeleteThat’s the intention, after they have been trimmed.
Deletewith all the melting snow right now it is too muddy to take walks outside in the yard but when it is not too wet I enjoy outside walks in the winter as long as I am dressed right. It looks like your quilt is coming along nicely.
