Binding on.
This one was longarm quilted in September? It had the binding strips cut, not sewn together. This past weekend it finally got the binding made and attached to the quilt. This was the last one that needed to be finished.
The Chandelier quilt has been on my list of trying to make for a few years. Recently a request to make one came my way, it was time.
Tula Pink fabrics in a rainbow of colours. It is a free pattern, takes one and a half charm packs and 2.73 meters of background fabric.
Only one block to make! 41 Blocks in total, for a 60" x 60" Top. One can add 6" borders. (This would require an extra 1.25m of fabric for the borders).
It was a quick project, so if one is pressed for time this one can be done fairly fast.
We had snow, for a few days and more to come with rain.
This was the perfect distraction from the cold weather. Binding made and waiting to be quilted, the kits are available at The Sewing Cafe, (sew@thesewingcafe.ca).

The chandelier quilt is a lovely bright project for cold snowy days.
ReplyDeleteI like the chandelier done in Tula fabrics. Very cute. This is one of my Go To block patterns for scrappy projects.
ReplyDeleteYour chandelier quilt is beautiful. I have not made a Tula project. Glad you got a nice distraction from the cold weather.
ReplyDeleteI love the look of your chandelier quilt - fun and bright! That's a favorite design of mine - seeing yours makes me want to sew it again. Happy sewing today!
ReplyDeleteThe Chandelier in Tula is awesome. I just finished my version for donation. The blocks went together quickly, then they sat in a box for a year before I sewed them together. It ended up so fun, it makes me want to do another. It's a great donation pattern.
ReplyDeleteLovely Chandelier quilt! I have a FQ set of Tula fabric that would be perfect in this pattern; I love how the larger center block shows off the fabric. Great finish!
ReplyDeleteI love the quilt with the woodland scenes, is this one for you? The chandelier quilt top is so pretty, it really is a great pattern.
ReplyDeleteNice to get the binding on your woodland creatures quilt. So many fun fabrics in your chandelier quilt. Gail at the cozy quilter
