It is a very interesting show, lots of applique. This is some of the orange themed quilts.
Took lots of photos, we got lucky as we got there later than we thought and the quilts had a lot less people in front of the quilts on display.
A mix of modern, abstract and traditional styles was on view.
Not sure what the theme was this year for the show, as it was more of a spur of the moment visit.
It was the first show where no one was selling batting of any kind. Lots of threads, wools and books to be had. Including kits and patterns.
The quilt with the writing just gave me goosebumps(in a good way) being near to it, it had so much emotion and energy that radiated from it. There was four quilts that did this, made by the same person.
Thanks for sharing. Those are really some beautiful quilts!!
ReplyDeleteI noticed at the quilt shows this year there were a lot more modern quilts with very bright colors then in years past
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pieces. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteQuiltbshows are fun, you often see things done which you would never have thought of. The fire quilt is spectacular, and I love the animal quilts, especially the little fox. Many thanks for sharing.
