Old quilts we see again.

These two live with two very special people, close to our hearts.
The second one was made as a raffle quilt, which was won by her sister. The promise was if one of them won the raffle quilt, I would make another quilt for the sibling. (What was the chance of one of them winning it, with so many tickets sold? It was meant to be!) .The string quilt was the second quilt. This is the string quilt made with the leftover fabrics, appliqued by machine.
The first quilt, made with dyed fabrics. It was the first attempt at dying my own fabrics for quilting (Gold, Sky Blue and Red). Also created the block design with what I had, the binding is scrappy as well. At the time this was my design, they were made 02 October 2002. They are well loved and have aged well.
