Pink’s.
Last year when the scraps was cut, it was according to what size was in the box. The pinks was too small for the triangle squares, big enough for center squares.
Quite a few and for this reason the pink blocks, have pink in the middle.
Have been busy outside with a few good weather days outdoors. Took the Christmas lights off the seventeen foot high blue spruce, we were going to leave the lights up until we discovered the windstorm blew a lot of the light bulbs off. We found too many under the
tree. Springcleaning has started and the last two packed boxes have been unpacked after almost eight years in our current house. Found some yarn and a pattern which was bought in
Almonte at Kelly's shop, Textile Traditions.

I remember that yarn. It is great form a one ball shawl.
ReplyDeleteIt has a pattern on the wrapper for a shawl, I am not quite ready to knit one yet. It knits beautifully.
DeleteOMG still had boxes packed LOL but your glad to have that task done
ReplyDeleteKudos for using the PINK the way that it worked for your project, Maggie, and congrats on unpacking the last box - eight years later! I can totally see that happening here.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing what you find as well. Hopefully I did not jinxed it, every time we unpack the last box we have moved, lol. That yarn is now being used.
DeleteYour pink project is lovely. Congratulations on getting the last box unpacked. That must be a relief! Happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteI have boxes in my garage that we packed up 18 years ago when we renovated our home. I believe most of them are children's games and books, but I really have no idea. I love that yarn. What have you decided to make with it? I like that you used the pink as centers. Better to be innovative than wasteful.
ReplyDeleteI am knitting a little dress, the hem will finish with the green. It reminds me if spring, the dress will be given away when it is done. Friends are having grandkids all the time, so making it is a great way to use the yarn.
DeleteLove all those pink centred blocks. Well...one must never rush the unpacking of boxes. =) 'Tis good you are enjoying wonderful outdoor weather. It sounds as if you are getting lots done around the place.
ReplyDeleteLove your pink centered blocks. I hope you didn't jinx it either. We have been in our house for 34 years! I need to pack up boxes to downsize. The next time we move will be to "the home"!!! :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic job on the Omigosh blocks... that is small piecing! Your yarn is very pretty for spring knitting!
