More stitching.

The mystery stitch along is all caught up.

Stitch along.

It is a mystery stitch along, from Fox and Rabbit. The cloister garden, each month a clue is released. No colours are given, you choose your own. The piece can be done in one colour, my stash had some vibrant blues. Two solids and one varigated floss. In January I looked at it, was not sure if it was something I wanted to stitch, yet when February came along it was a perfect gift for a special family member.

Got the fabric when we went on a field trip one snowy morning, it was started middle of March.

Since then it has been a game of catch up, busy with April currently.

We have had so much rain, so we have had to keep calm and carry on indoors.

Thankfully the veggie garden got planted with seeds before all the rain.

A finish!

Started this one in the last couple of years, it is a king size quilt.

This past week saw the last of the quilting and then to find the binding which was made when the top was made.

The stitching is coming along too, a little bit every day.

Gardening consisted of weeding the grass. Last weekend we went to get some cow, sheep manure and peat. The black soil was delivered this past weekend, a lot of work can start in the garden to get everything ready for the growing season.

Green.

Green is the May colour for RSC25. This king size quilt has been my staple hand quilting project since the fall of last year. Slowand steady, a bit here and there. No rush, now with spring here in full swing it is almost done.

Twenty five more green blocks got finished and the totals for Ancient Stars so far, 67 Ohio stars and 50 Sawtooth stars. ( 96 and 48 required in total!)

Started this RSC project in 2023?

A friend who made her first quilt top, it is a flimsy now. Another quilter offered her stash of to make this beauty below. Love all the sparkle, especially the binding fabric in blue and gold!

Spring is here!

The sun is shining, the spring bulbs are flowering and the bumblebees are back! It makes me smile. I have been in the garden, getting dirty playing in the soil.

Some stitching happened, some quilting too.

All the green, blue and most of the purple bands have been quilted. Some of the purple bands still needs to be quilted and the green borders. Have been taking my time on this one, it is a big one.

The pink birthday quilt, will be appliqued. Lara received a different quilt last year, so this one will be gifted in the future with a new name and year on it. Will fuse all the pieces for machine applique and work on it slowly.

The top will then go into the rubbermaid to be quilted in the future.

We decided it was a nice day to walk to our voting station on monday past, one of the ponds we walked by. It was our Federal elections this week, record numbers voted in the pre election days!
