Peanuts

Work continues at a slow pace on this stitching.
These seeds remind me of peanuts in their shells, it could be something different? For now they will be considered peanuts as the birds love them...

Happy scraps.

This is the blocks so far, all of them so far. Orange one's need to be done still. Thanks to the RSC21 and RSC22, Omygosh is becoming a reality. Getting the top done with all the scraps feels wonderfuland very rewarding, joining the colour challenge has been the best!
It was a work in progress that was just not going anywhere fast, until it become an RSC.
With the heatwave, the butter lettuce is bolting. The yellow beans are being harvested every other day. Fingerling potatoes was harvested this past week, first tomato from the garden as well. Back to stitching for now, staying cool indoors.

Four Seasons.

This is the oldest work in progress. On our recent trip out west, it went along just incase a moment in time presented itself to receive some more stitching..
The peach flower was started many years ago, so when we had rainy days work continued from here.
Working on it daily as the rain happened on a daily basis. Where pockets of the days was dry we went out and explored, enjoyed nature.
The bumble bees this year are double or even triple their normal size.
Back home very little rain fell while we were away, the plants bolted and the onions went to seed.
Tomato plants have fruit on and everything that was not growing before is now growing fast.
The heatwave is back and the air is filled with wildfires smoke and haze. The smell is overwhelming in the air, so we are back indoors for now. Stitching will continue, along with time spend with loved ones.

Summer holidays.

For the first time in four years we have all been together as a family. with travel becoming a bit more normal. Airports are best avoided if we can help it.
On a visit to a beadshop, these charms followed me home (they came in a little box, so it was a surprise to see what was inside).
I also got some blue fabric, not shown here.
Visited a few quilt shops. Love the squirrel everytime I see it.
Latest edition to the bird feeder, it has no feathers at all!
For all the one's who love science, this was truly awesome.

Purple for the month of July.

The RSC22 colour for July is purple. The colour has grown on me over the years.
The shoo-fly blocks done in purple.
Interesting to see quilts that we have given as gifts, after they have been washed and used for a while.
More purple flowers in nature along the path in the forest.
