Some more progress.

The tulips and the daffodils are all blooming now. We are enjoying spring and the warmer weather.
The book from which the one quilt pattern come from.
It is filled with patterns made from spring floral fabrics.
The fabrics are all cut out now and are ready for the next step.
Following the layout and looking at the photo of the quilt, it has 36 different floral print fabrics. It can be quite a dizzy experience, sorting all the fabrics and doing the layout. Manage to get all the rows done, except the last three.

  1. your design wall is the floor? do you pin your pieces to the sheet? I couldn't quite tell how you are doing this - looks like a good book

    1. Dear Karen, I do not have a design wall. It is a trusty sheet which is out on the carpet. I then sit on top of the sheet with all of the cut fabrics. Laying out the blocks in rows across until all the pieces are used. Then they get picked up in order and are ready to be sewn. Once’s all the blocks are done, they get sewn into rows. The rows get joined until the quilt top is done.

  2. That is a pretty floral quilt. The dark really highlights the florals.

    1. The designer did the design this way, so the kit provided the fabrics. I am just following the pattern with the kit fabrics.
