Mystery quilt top is done.

The reveal of the Good Hope Quilt Mystery was two weeks ago, worked on putting it all together. The top is done.

Cleaned all the fluff and stray threads off the back of the quilt.

These cotton fabrics are more loosely woven and frayed quite a bit. Something which is happening a lot lately with the newer fabrics?

Part two said in the instructions 16 strips instead of 8 strips sets. So sixteen strip sets was sewn and waiting for the reveal. ( The quilt used 8 strip sets in total).

Those extra strip sets have been used and it has been used making a small quilt top for a baby.

Baked bread yesterday, later a bit of stitching happened and a walk in nature.

New buds on the trees along the trail.

Working on the mystery quilt.

The reveal happened last week, all the pieces have been sorted into the blocks.

Have made a start on these blocks too.

Made some placemats for a birthday gift.

The center piece is all prepped and still needs to be finished.

Started a smock dress, worked on it while Kate and I chatted this week via Zoom.

Stitching this past two weeks.

Good Golly piecing has been started, this will be an ongoing process for a while. Have not made a start on the red blocks yet...

Some hand quilting with the cool weather, we are hoping now that the snow has melted again and is now done for spring. Spring flowers are blooming again and we have a sunny day.

Teal is the RSC25 colour for April?

The stitching is definitely the right colour for April. As for what else may be worked on, a few projects will be pulled out.

A new project will also be started for a birthday gift, teal is the favourite colour for the birthday girl!

Made two tops in one week for myself.

A pink one and the blue one above.

Started the yellow project which was pilled out last month, it has lots of paper foundation piecing. Every piece of paper has two triangles pinned to a piece of paper.

Our weather has been all over the place, snow, ice, hail, thunderstorms with lightning, rain and sunshine. More of the same to come for the next week. The stream has overflown its banks and it is right next to the main road.

Just discovered, Teal is not the colour for April. It was a joke and Red is the colour for April...
