A finish.
This quilt is finished. The last machine quilting happened this past week and it has been washed and is now on the bed.
Vintage Moments, front and back of the quilt.
It was started early 2003/4? This is another older project that is now a quilt.
A new project which will be started in the coming week, it has a few more additions to the collection of fabrics. They will need to be starched before any work can begin.
Omygosh RSC21 and RSC22 colour challenge blocks are now sewn into a flimsy. The borders for it is cut, using fabrics from my stash. Also found binding for the border fabric which was made for another quilt, there is enough binding for this quilt. Glad the binding can now be used for this quilt.

Zipping right along. You certainly are getting a lot of quilts finished!
ReplyDeleteWorking on getting the quilts done. With winter coming the older quilts will be used in summer as they are aging.
Deleteprogress! that is great to finish an old top and to do so much on ohmygosh too
ReplyDeleteThe scraps got used, except there are still scraps in the sewing room. Maybe a postage stamp quilt for next year?
DeleteOmigosh looks so wonderful! It feels so good to finish an older project, happy stitching on the newest quilt in progress!
ReplyDeleteSo true, all along I thought it was going to much smaller than it turned out to be.
DeleteAs I was looking at your photos of this beautiful quilt I was thinking how vintage it looked. Then I noticed its name. Perfect! Did you name the quilt after you made it or is the pattern named Vintage Moments and you made the quilt to go with the name? I really liked the curved corners.
ReplyDeleteThe pattern is called Vintage Moments by Marsha McCloskey. She designed it and the colours is close to what hers looks like. The fabrics was bought as a kit at the time. Loved the quilt when I first saw a picture in McCalls quilting magazine with an ad for the pattern.
DeleteI love the vintage look of Vintage Moments. What a lovely finish.
ReplyDeleteAnd you are making an Omigosh? I've always been tempted but never succumbed to the temptation. The thought of so many little pieces seems overwhelming but definitely worth it.
Omygosh broken down into just a block and making use of the RSC is a fantastic way to make it. One is just making a few blocks a month, making it easier and taking all the overwhelming factor away. Using scraps, it took about 18 months to make all the blocks.
