Progress in August.
With the heatwaves and summer hot weather the stitching was what was worked on for the last while, it was just easier to pick it up and do a little bit here and there. The framed border is finished, Autumn is the next season.
Green hexies are the other bit that got some love. This will be the next round of the hexie project.
Purple and pink fabrics for a quilt for my eldest sister. Do not have all the fabrics for this one, will make a start and work on it every week until the top is done.
Will be using Tahoe pattern and template for this quilt from Laundry Basket Quilts. As soon as the weather cools down in September, the sewing machine will be seeing more use again.

Omygosh in progress…
Today Omygosh got laid out on the trusty sheet on the floor. In the process I discovered one extra nine patch block? Have no idea how that happened. It is now ready to be sewn into rows and then into a quilt top. Our weather has dropped to 27C, much better than the 40C with the humidty.
Some more stitching happened on the border, progress.
The red border on the hexie scrappy hexagon has been added too. Next the greens will follow. It will calm down the hot colours and add some calm colour to the piece, no pattern for this one. Using scraps left over from old projects.

Orange blocks.
The last blocks for Omygosh is done. It is just surreal, knowing the blocks are all finished. Next week the blocks can be placed in rows and then they can be sewn together, all because of RSC21 and RSC22!
Four Seasons is progressing as well, the second corner is done. Orange and peach berries are part of this bottom left corner. Handwork with all the heatwaves are just the more logical pieces to work on for now.
The hexie project went with out west, never got round to it. On thursday it finally got some more work. The next round is the red border of hexies. The scraps are all leftover squares from all the bargello (wall hanging)quilts made over the years for wedding presents for all the nephews and nieces. The colours are normally requested from both the bride and the groom. Combining their favourite colours, creating one piece with it all together. So far 14 done, 17 in total to make!
