The Birds are Back.

It feels like Spring is in the air.  The birds are arriving in large flocks.  The snow is melting and the air is feeling warm outside.  It is only February, so we will enjoy it, while it sticks around.
The Secret Project's are finished.  They are on their way to the two young ladies who will be celebrating their 21st Birthday's in March.

Diamond Hill's first block is finished.
Stems.
Berries, petals and flower centres.
 The Big Red Flower.

 Small flowers.
Berries.
 Flowers stitched in place.
Tulips.

Tulips ? These flowers remind me of the tulips with the frilly edges.

Almost done, just need the little green buds, at the top of the stems.

The block is finished, for now, the strips of fabric for the corners is still a creative choice, which has not been decided.

  1. We have had robins around all winter.
The purple quilt looks lovely. I'm sure it will be much appreciated.

  2. Your Belle Fleur block is really looking nice. Winter seems like it has ended here in Missouri which is very unusual.

  4. Hi Maggie great detailed tutorial on how you made Diamond Hills first block, great colours very romantic. I did so enjoy making that block, my challenge is to machine appliqué this quilt so keep your fingers crossed for me, I have a 50 plus Bernia sewing machine so I've had to fiddle and fiddle with a stitch that will appliqué the pieces down and not look heavy as I don't want to do a thick or solid zig zag stitch.
