Finished the harvest.
Yesterday it was down right chilly outside, tomorrow night we are expecting -5C. The harvesting of the last vegetables happen. Beets, spinach, carrots and onions. Everything had to be cleaned, prepped and prepared. Spinach was blanched and frozen, beets cooked. Onions and carrots are chopped ready to be used in a few dishes which will be frozen for days when cooking will be not possible.
Stock was made in the slow cooker with some veggies as well. Nothing goes to waste. Grow lights is now installed and the herbs and a few other plants are now basking under them indoors.
Smocking continues, the smocking is now on the right side of the fabric.
The Serengeti Chatelaine has grown a bit more too.
The next quilt can be layered and basted, the backing finally came and now this can be started too.
Perfect timing as fall is changing very quickly.

Taking a break after a busy summer.
After a busy summer and spring, which included a number a of quilts, I took a two week break to catch up on the little things that was left on the to do list. The are now caught up. Our weather has gone from hot to cold and rainy in a day.
The leaves are dropping fast from the Maple trees and the leaves are turning colour at a rapid rate. Gardening season is now just cleaning up and harvesting the remaining veggies in the garden. Some herbs was potted up and is now indoors, enjoying an extended life sunning themselves from the kitchen window.
Started the Serengeti Chatelaine, getting slowly back to stitching and sewing. The quilting is now on the back burner for a short while. RSC23 from May is waiting in the wings, with the colder weather those will get love and attention soon.
Started andother stitching piece.
A smock dress is also being worked on.
Reverse smocking on the back first, then the last half is done on the right side of the fabric.

Wedding quilt and wall hanging.
The wedding quilt finished.
The quilting longarm quilted by Sharron. She did a fantastic job in a very short space of time, thank you!
Magic binding sewn on, it is my favourite way to do binding now. Love how well it works and it is easy on the hands too.
The wall hanging with the colours the couple gave me, these strands are now sewn and woven together for a lifetime.
It is as unique as the couple.
Lots of Love quilted into this one.
The quilts are now wrapped and will be given to the couple on their wedding day.
It is a long weekend up north, we are celebrating Thanksgiving!
