Binding and hexies.

Life has been busy with so much. Changes that are happening as we grow older, family growing as more great nephews and nieces are born. This year is no exception, a request for a baby a quilt came and that one is being worked on slowly. Also worked on some hexies, using mini charm packs which I got when we went out west a number of years ago.

Spring or winter.

The weather is still doing what it is doing. Freezing rain and now rain which hopefully is melting some more snow and ice. We are more than ready for Spring to arrive with warmer weather. Last year I received this Peter Rabbit panel and a fat quarter bundle. Looked at the both for a few months and finally decided to quilt the panel. Baby quilts always makes me think of spring, lambs and green grass.

Slow progress.

Life goes forward one step at a time. Progress it is, even in small steps. We had almost no more snow on our grass, when we thought spring was here? What a crazy day, so much snow that it required a snowblower to clear the snow. It continued to snow and turned to rain.
A smock dress that I was working on. Luckily this one only needs finishing later this year.
Some more stiching happen as well.

We all have to take a break sometimes…

Life has a way of slowing us down and making us stop sometimes. My shoulder and snow shovelling did just that. The choice was to listen to my body or not? It made sense to just go with the flow and listen. Rest, rest and more rest. We spent time relaxing and also visiting Bounce, above. Projects on the list is ones that are not urgent and had been started a while back, they will wait until the shoulder is healed and back to normal working order. Spring is arriving, we have snow melting and the trees are showing signs of buds appearing along the branches. In some places we can see large patches of grass with no snow on it. We are curretly enjoying double digits above freezing. This past winter definitely took its toll and we are happy to say hello to spring.
